HAVE YOUR SCREENPLAY OR BOOK MANUSCRIPT READ BY AN EXPERT, AND GET ACTIONABLE MARKET-SAVVY ADVICE AND SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE IT STRONGER.
Staton Rabin has worked as a script reader for Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, and the former William Morris Agency, and has taught screenwriting for Cunard aboard the Queen Mary 2. Now, she's available to work for you.  A freelance story analyst and writing consultant, she works with writers one-on-one to help them develop their screenplays and books from idea to finished product-- and also evaluates completed scripts and books. She provides specific, actionable suggestions and advice to improve the material for the marketplace, and helps writers practice their pitches and craft their query letters. Staton has been a frequent guest speaker at New York University, where she's lectured about how to get your script to a movie star or famous director.  Her unique approach to script analysis and screenplay marketing has also found a voice at "Script" Magazine, where she's been a Senior Writer of "how to" articles about screenwriting (www.scriptmag.com). Some of her clients have seen their movies get made, and several others have won screenwriting contests.  Her own film projects have included "Betsy and the Emperor", a movie that was optioned and in development based on her novel from Simon & Schuster, with Al Pacino attached to star, as reported in "Variety". Her spec script "Saving Mark Twain" won the Historical Genre of the ISA Fast Track Fellowship and the Ridgefield Independent Film Festival Screenplay Competition.

"I've worked with Staton Rabin for several years on a variety of projects.  Not only is she an insightful script analyst and a skilled editor, but she's also very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the film industry and what it takes to get a project green-lighted.  What's more, her proven techniques for getting scripts in front of virtually any actor or director make her an invaluable asset as you try to get your project produced.  And, in these lean times, her rates are remarkably reasonable.  You get what you pay for-- and more."

"I've used the services of several script analysts over the years, but none were as thorough and professional as what Staton provided for me.  Her report was clear and to the point and her subsequent phone consultation was priceless, she answered all of my questions in depth.  The entire experience helped me gain the perspective I need to proceed with the editing process.
Highly recommended!"

What Makes Jump Cut
Different?

--No more script "coverage" that wastes your money by telling you what your own screenplay is about. Instead, get a real report that tells you exactly how to fix any problems and get your script ready for the marketplace.
--No more wasting your time doing rewrite after rewrite (if you get the right advice the first time, one rewrite and a polish should be plenty--  and if it isn't, it might be time to retire your script).
--No more "anonymous" readers. Talk to a real, live story analyst--  with a twenty-five year track record in the business.
--No more waiting weeks for your report.  Turnaround time is usually no more than 72 hours.  And Ms. Rabin can do phone consultations with as little as 24 hours' notice.
--And best of all:  A one-hour follow-up phone consultation is included with your report-- at no extra charge. You can use this consultation to get advice on marketing your script, or to ask additional questions about your story or the report on it.  It's up to you!
